The Lemon Tart

The Story

Evan fights to keep his late father’s bakery afloat while covering his mother’s mounting medical bills. His refusal to accept a blank check from an elderly stranger draws the attention of Henry Lawrence, a powerful patriarch. Henry forces his rebellious granddaughter, Ava, into a three-month marriage contract with Evan or she loses her inheritance. The steady baker and the lonely heiress clash constantly under strict rules, but their bond deepens through hostile relatives, a jealous ex, and public scandals. A fifteen-year-old accident later reveals the truth behind Evan’s father’s death and the Lawrence family’s dark secrets. Ava abandons her inheritance to stand by Evan, who finally learns to choose his own path. When the initial contract expires, they divorce by choice. This decision leads to a new beginning as they start a real relationship through a lifetime dating contract.
