The Long-Lost Daughter's Return
The Story
Wei Cuifang clutches a broken jade pendant, the only remnant of the daughter abandoned by her mother-in-law during a traumatic birth eighteen years ago. Now battling stomach cancer, she scavenges for scraps while searching for the child she lost. Her son, Sun Shaoliang, broke his promise to support her after getting into college. Eight years later, Cuifang travels to the city for his wedding, only to be disowned and thrown out when Shaoliang lies about her being abroad to marry into a wealthy family. In a twist of fate, he accidentally keeps her cancer diagnosis instead of her gift money. At the ceremony, Cuifang reveals her tragic past. Jia Meiting recognizes her as her long-lost mother, though her identity is immediately questioned. Meiting’s husband, Guo Xiu, arrives with bodyguards, and Meiting promptly blacklists Yixing Tech. The mother and daughter leave together, leaving Shaoliang to kneel in deep regret.
