Arthur, Duke of Mercia, returns to his village after being kidnapped as a child. He seeks to reunite with his long-lost family. Instead, he discovers they are abused by everyone in town. Arthur keeps his identity a secret. He works to avenge his family against the villagers who have mistreated them.
