The Story

Cynthia, the spirit of an ancient laurel tree, sacrifices all her magical power to elevate her fiancé Luke to the rank of Second Royal Magus. In a cruel betrayal, Luke abandons her, framing her as a simple flower vendor while plotting to destroy the tree that houses her true form. Chief Magus Arthur intervenes, marrying Cynthia to shield her from Luke’s schemes. Together, they withstand constant attacks from the aristocracy, including poisonings and curses, while Cynthia wins the Queen’s favor with her natural magic. Arthur slays the necromancer controlling the Marcus family, leading to Luke’s exile and Mary’s imprisonment. Later, Prince Silas attempts to harvest Cynthia’s essence for immortality, trapping her and draining her blood. Arthur storms the prison alone, resulting in a catastrophic explosion. Cynthia seals the Abyssal Rift with her last life force, becoming a laurel leaf in slumber. After forty-five years of waiting, Arthur’s call finally awakens her. They seal the remaining Abyss and retreat to the deep rainforest as eternal lovers.
