The Obsession Tree

The Story

Detective Damian confronts a woman who looks exactly like his wife, Vivian, and accuses her of kidnapping his daughter, Amy. The surrounding world insists on a starkly different reality: Damian has never had a child, and the real Vivian died seven years ago. As bizarre phenomena erupt around him, his conviction begins to crumble. Vivian disappears from a locked interrogation room, her injuries vanish instantly, and figures in old photographs shift their heads. Outside his home, an out-of-season cherry blossom tree pulses with a rhythmic heartbeat. These impossible events force Damian to accept that his family life for the past seven years was a constructed illusion. He faces a terrifying dilemma regarding his desire to uncover the truth. His false memories have evolved into genuine love, grief, and pain, making the pursuit of reality a deeply personal and painful choice.
