The Real Chairwoman

The Story

Elena steps back into the Cooper Group after a five year absence, only to find that no one recognizes the true Chairwoman. The boardroom is filled with toxic gossip and bullying, with many staff members assuming her husband Dalton is married to an old, irrelevant woman. Flora, Dalton’s secretary, has long tried to seduce him without success. When she witnesses Dalton and Elena sharing an affectionate moment, she mistakenly believes Elena is his mistress. The error clears up when Flora learns that Elena is pregnant. Rather than stepping aside, Flora decides to target Elena to become Dalton’s own mistress. She launches a relentless campaign to humiliate, isolate, and eliminate Elena from the company. The workplace becomes a battleground as Flora spares no effort to destroy Elena’s position and presence.
