The Story

Chris, a humble mechanic, watches his fiancée Sarah cheat on him while he holds a billion-dollar lottery jackpot. He hires Victor, a ruthless financial butcher, to build a shadow consortium and infiltrates the Brody family’s luxury hotel in a valet uniform. There, he endures public beatings and asset freezes by Brody, waiting for an acquisition agreement to take effect. Maya, the hotel receptionist, sees through his disguise and shields him from harm, but leaves heartbroken when he appears too afraid to fight back. At a grand charity gala, Chris sheds his uniform and enters on a red carpet in a million-dollar bespoke suit, flanked by enforcers. The three hundred guests kneel before him. Sarah’s champagne glass shatters in her hand. Chris fixes his gaze on Maya, who stands in the corner with red-rimmed eyes. He tells her this is why he could not fight back that night.
