Traded My Wolves for a Snake
The Story
Cora nurtured three wounded wolves, only to watch them turn hostile when her sister Vivian arrived. The beasts mocked her, prompting a desperate exchange for Vivian’s ice-cold snake, Silas. He remained loyal, handling chores and guarding her while the wolves schemed. When her family forced an arranged marriage, Cora faked compliance before fleeing through a window on her wedding day. Silas tracked her to the airport, injuring two wolves who attempted to stop him. He declared that she would never get rid of him. Cora subsequently took over the family business, forming a deep bond with the snake. His cold exterior masked a devotion far greater than the loyalty she expected from her former protectors. The creature stayed by her side, proving his worth against the betrayal of the animals she once raised with such care.
