The Story

Gao Shufen dies after Li Tianhao prioritizes his mistress Ye Rou over her heart surgery. Xu Lin honors her mother in law’s final wish by burying her in sunflowers, but Li Tianhao digs up the grave to scatter the ashes because Ye Rou wants the land. Xu Lin exposes his cruelty at a fake funeral and demands a divorce. When Li Tianhao tries to force her out with nothing, lawyer Shi Yi reveals a will leaving everything to Xu Lin. She reclaims her funds and evicts Ye Rou, then uses surveillance footage to expose scams that lead to Ye Rou’s mother being jailed for theft. Li Tianhao regrets his choices, but Ye Rou attempts to poison Xu Lin and accidentally kills herself. Li Tianhao becomes disabled in the aftermath. Three years later, Xu Lin is with Shi Yi and encounters the local doctor Li Tianhao. She walks away, leaving him to suffer a breakdown and die in a hallucination.
