The Story

Zhou Yating stands at the altar with her fiancé Zhang Tianhao when her mother-in-law Sun Pandi demands the transfer of her dowry house to Yating's brother-in-law, citing a false pregnancy. While Tianhao urges his bride to be generous, Yating feigns compliance only to abruptly cancel the ceremony. The Zhang family retaliates by spreading malicious rumors about her at her home and workplace. Yating responds with calculated precision, gathering audio evidence and filing a police report. The brother-in-law ends up in jail for forcing the property transfer, while Tianhao and Sun Pandi are arrested after surveillance captures them harassing Yating to drop the charges. With the medical misdiagnosis exposed, the Zhang family faces severe legal consequences. Yating finally breaks free from the toxic household and begins a new life on her own terms.
