When Love Comes Too Late

The Story

Leah Turner holds her six-year-old daughter Anna for the first time after seven years of secret marriage to Cyril Stosur. Anna feels joy at this sudden connection, but Cyril sees through the facade. He knows Leah’s affection comes only from the return of her first love. Seven years prior, Leah married Cyril impulsively after that man abandoned her. During their marriage, she stayed emotionally distant, avoiding family time and forbidding Anna from calling her Mom. The pain deepens when Anna watches Leah shower her ex-lover’s daughter with attention while neglecting her own child. This harsh contrast destroys Anna’s last hope. The heartbroken girl leaves permanently.
