When Love Departs

The Story

Adrian abandons his daughter Esther in a parked car to join childhood friend Stacy and her son Lucas. The intense summer heat causes the vehicle to overheat, shutting down the air conditioning and raising the interior temperature rapidly. Esther suffers from heatstroke and nears fainting as the situation becomes critical. She calls Adrian for assistance, but he dismisses her pleas and hangs up the phone. Before her tablet battery dies, Esther contacts her mother Claire, crying for help. The device powers off instantly, preventing her from revealing her exact location. Claire now searches frantically for her missing child in the sweltering heat. The mother races against time to locate her daughter, unaware of the immediate danger she faces inside the stalled vehicle. Every second counts as Claire moves through the area, driven by pure desperation to find the source of that final, cut-off cry for help.
