Divorce on Day One: The Commander Wants Her Back

The Story

Lyra is trapped in an arranged marriage with Alpharis, the galaxy’s most terrifying commander. She plots her escape, yet the ruthless war hero reveals a softer side only in private. He whispers to her, asking if she is leaving again, and acts like a desperate puppy begging her to stay. His cruelty vanishes when he is alone with her, replaced by a relentless need to keep her close. Every touch and word serves his single purpose: preventing their separation. Alpharis would rather burn the entire galaxy to ashes than sign the divorce papers. Lyra remains caught between her desire for freedom and his intense, contradictory devotion. The fearsome general strikes terror into everyone else, but melts completely whenever Lyra is near.
