Married to the Enemy

The Story

Sean Carter abandons his prestigious family legacy to work as a low-level civilian analyst at the Department of Defense. He believes his wife Morgan Hayes values his true self, but she prioritizes her own ambition. When Sean witnesses Evan Brooks assaulting Morgan, she protects Evan’s military career by lying under oath. Her false testimony sends Sean to a harsh punishment camp in Alaska for three years. Upon his return, Morgan immediately drags him to her wedding with Evan, publicly humiliating him before a crowd that views him as broken. However, Sean holds one final secret: he is the son of General William Carter. The revelation shatters Morgan and Evan’s false sense of security. They realize the man they sacrificed is the one with the power to destroy them. The truth exposes the depth of their betrayal and the immense weight of the name they tried to erase.
