Peach Blossom Tribulation in a Troubled World

The Story

In a fractured land, Marshal Lu Qingshan searches for his lost childhood love, Bao'er, guided only by a jade pendant and a flute melody. Years later, he marries Wen Shiyi, the mute daughter of the Wen family, but treats her with cold indifference. His cousin Lu Miaoqing, fueled by jealousy, assumes the identity of Bao'er and orchestrates a campaign of cruelty against Shiyi. Miaoqing frames Shiyi for espionage and administers poison, driving the innocent woman into despair after she suffers a miscarriage. When the deception unravels, Miaoqing allies with spies to assassinate Qingshan. Shiyi risks her life to protect him from the fatal blow. Despite his profound remorse, Qingshan finds that Shiyi’s heart is already gone. She desires nothing more than to leave. As peach blossoms drift through the air, the tangled web of love and hatred remains unresolved.
