The Masked Wife

The Story

Childhood sweethearts Ye Qian and Gu Jingchen were promised to each other before life tore them apart. After her mother’s death, Ye Qian was sent to the countryside, leaving Gu Jingchen to forget their bond. Years later, he marries her as arranged, yet he sees only a gold-digger. His heart belongs to a masked savior named Yuanbao, whom he believes saves him from danger. He has no idea that this mysterious figure is actually his own wife. Ye Qian remains blind to the fact that Gu Jingchen is the man she knows as Night Eagle. This double blindness creates a web of endless misunderstandings between them. When Ye Qian finally uncovers his true identity, she overhears him speaking harshly about her. Shocked by his disdain, she decides to keep her secret identity as Yuanbao hidden, maintaining the distance that already exists between them.
