The Rise of the Ugly Luna

The Story

Lyric returns from five years in the human world to face a family debt that demands her presence. Once scarred and exiled for a single night with a powerful stranger, she now possesses a forbidden gift that allows her to absorb any disease. She enters a contract marriage with the ruthless King Jaris, only to discover he is the man she once knew. Misled by his scheming wife Marta, Jaris treats Lyric with daily cruelty. At night, however, he drugs her for secret intimacy, leading Lyric to believe these encounters are vivid dreams. The deception runs deeper as Lyric learns her presumed dead twins are alive, stolen by Marta to claim the throne. Meanwhile, Jaris’s exiled brother Caden returns from the shadows. He brings a blood drinking army with the intent to burn everything down, threatening the fragile balance of their world.
