The Wedding That Never Was: All Episodes
The Story
Edward Henderson conceals his vast fortune to court Irene Lawson, convinced that her affection stems from his character rather than his bank account. He intends to disclose the truth on their wedding day, yet Nancy, Irene's closest confidante, intervenes with malicious intent. Under Nancy's manipulative influence, Irene adopts a strategy to test her partner's devotion. She transforms the ceremony into a platform for unreasonable demands, ignoring Edward's earnest pleas for reason. The bride-to-be remains entirely under Nancy's control, deaf to the man she is about to marry. Watching the woman he once cherished behave like a total stranger, Edward realizes the connection is broken. He makes a definitive choice to halt the proceedings. The wedding is off.
