The Wedding That Never Was: All Episodes

The Story

Edward Henderson conceals his fortune to secure the affection of Irene Lawson, believing she values his character rather than his bank account. He intends to reveal the truth on their wedding day, but Nancy, a close friend of the bride, steps in to intervene. Convinced she must test his devotion, Nancy persuades Irene to transform the ceremony into a sequence of ridiculous demands. Edward pleads for her to halt the charade, yet the bride remains deaf to his pleas, listening exclusively to her friend. Gazing at the woman he once adored, Edward recognizes a complete stranger standing in her place. He makes the decisive choice to call off the wedding entirely, leaving the couple without a union.
