Two Wives, Two Divorces

The Story

Two women share a devastating secret after losing their children to the cold cruelty of their husbands. One marries the eldest Harper, a firefighter, while her best friend weds the younger brother, a renowned surgeon. On their anniversary, a jealous ex confines the first wife to a room as flames consume the building. Seven months pregnant, she calls for help, but her husband dismisses her pleas, claiming a cat is in danger and that false alarms are a crime. Her friend breaks the door down to save her, yet the surgeon husband refuses to assist, prioritizing the cat's injured tail over human life. The first wife loses her baby, watching the infant being carried away by the doctor. The pain shatters her spirit, prompting her to demand a divorce. Her friend stands by her side, declaring that these men do not deserve their tears. That night, the divorce papers reach the Harper brothers, sending them into a spiral of despair.
