Two Wives, Two Divorces

The Story

Megan and Leah marry into the Harper family, with Megan taking the eldest son, a fire chief, and Leah choosing the younger son, a famous surgeon. Their anniversary turns tragic when Megan’s husband’s first love locks her in a room. A fire breaks out upstairs while she is seven months pregnant. She calls her husband, claiming Megan’s cat is in danger and stating that a false alarm is a crime. Leah breaks the door down and calls her husband, asserting that Megan’s cat has a wounded tail and that she must treat it as a doctor. Megan loses her child. She tells Leah that she is getting a divorce, and Leah replies that she is too. That night, the two Harpers panic when they receive the divorce papers.
