The Story

Two best friends marry the Harper brothers, one choosing the fire chief and the other the surgeon. On their anniversary, the fire chief’s ex traps the protagonist in a burning house where she is seven months pregnant. She calls her husband for rescue, but he prioritizes his mistress’s cat over her safety. Leah intervenes to save her, yet when she calls her surgeon husband, he also chooses the cat. The protagonist loses her baby in the tragedy. Leah and she file for divorce, finally leaving their negligent husbands behind.
