Longing After Goodbye

The Story

Neil signs a secret agreement with Keira’s father, promising to marry her for five years to heal the wounds left by her first love, Simon. Throughout their arranged union, Neil treats Keira with consistent kindness and care, yet she views him merely as a stand-in for Simon. When the contract expires, Neil learns that Keira’s heart still belongs to Simon and immediately files for divorce. The news of their separation, combined with her father’s revelation that Neil has vanished, hits Keira with a wave of sudden regret. She searches the globe for him, finally grasping that the man she pushed away loved her deeply. However, time has slipped through her fingers. Neil has already stepped into a bright new future, leaving Keira stranded in the past with nothing but her own loss.
