The Story

Alexander Carter vanishes in a fatal car crash the day before their wedding. While the world expects grief, the bride offers no tears. Five years later, he reappears at a luxurious Manhattan hotel, alive and arrogant, embracing her stepsister Marjorie. He publicly mocks her devotion, suggesting she become his mistress to share his time with Marjorie. She smiles calmly, hiding a secret he never discovers. That night of the crash, she obtained video evidence proving his deception. While he lived freely in Europe, she married his uncle, the true head of the Carter family. They now have a four-year-old daughter together.
