The Story

Karen, a housewife married to wealthy lawyer Tom, leaves her home while her five-year-old daughter Anna is inside. A sudden fire breaks out, causing Anna to suffer a severe fall that leaves her close to death. Brave passerby Merry accompanies firefighters and fire chief Bob, who drive the truck carrying Anna toward the hospital for emergency surgery. Paramedic Eve and kind witnesses join the effort to save the little girl. En route, the truck collides with Karen’s car as she returns from her lover’s house. She demands a kneeling apology and payment for damages, wasting precious minutes. Merry, Eve, and the witnesses try to convince her to move the vehicle. Karen stubbornly refuses, completely unaware that the truck she blocks is transporting her own daughter.
