When She Returns, I Depart: All Episodes

The Story

Anita’s world shatters when she learns she is adopted. The family’s devotion shifts entirely to Veni, the biological daughter who has finally returned. Trusting only the new arrival, the relatives frame Anita for a crime she did not commit. She spends three years in a juvenile detention center, enduring torture that leaves her with a permanent disability. When the family arrives to collect her after her release, the cheerful girl is gone. Anita stands cold and distant, rejecting the people who betrayed her. She turns her back on the household that discarded her, leaving them with no explanation or apology.
